We check three things before listing a clinic: who runs it, who works there, and where they're regulated. SkinSage currently lists 3,652 active UK aesthetic clinics. For each, we record CQC registration where it applies, professional body membership (JCCP or Save Face), and the named clinical lead. You can see all three on every clinic page — and verify them yourself against each regulator's public register.

Three different things. CQC (Care Quality Commission) is the government body that inspects healthcare premises and is required for CQC-regulated procedures including most laser work. JCCP (Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners) is a professional register for practitioners performing non-surgical procedures. Save Face is an independent practitioner register that requires evidence of qualification and insurance for every listed name. Not every clinic needs all three — what matters is that the one(s) they claim are real and current.

Aesthetic pricing depends on the practitioner, the product (brand and amount), and what you actually need — which a clinic can only tell after a consultation. We ask every clinic for a starting price range when we list them. If a clinic lists a price you'd like to confirm before booking, your callback is the place to ask.

The overdone look isn't usually a product problem — it's a practitioner-and-volume problem. A careful practitioner will refuse to do what would look obvious on your face. When you talk to a clinic, ask how they decide how much filler to use, and when they've refused a patient. The answer tells you a lot.

The clinic gets your request and calls you back — most within 24 hours. You have a short conversation about what you want and what's available. There's no commitment: a consultation is just a conversation. You only book a treatment after meeting the practitioner in person.

3,652 active UK aesthetic clinics with a verifiable address, a verifiable practitioner identity, and at least one valid regulator or register link. We don't list NHS hospitals, sole-trader operations without premises, or clinics where we can't verify the practitioner. The directory is free to be listed in; sponsored placements and credit packs are clearly marked.
